piece in metro today about babies born 2 months overdue - does this actually happen?!

The article does say "The mothers had probably not registered their pregnancies with a doctor and were therefore receiving no treatment."

So... umm... how do they know they were 48 weeks pregnant, then?

If it means "women turning up in labour 48 weeks after their last period started" then I'm sure it happens, as not everyone has 28-day cycles.

oh yeah, good point. But I guess you can read up on these things and figure out your due date without a doctor. I am not sure I believe it though. Maybe 4 weeks, but not 8 weeks later...?
