yes i ahve been having problems similar to both of yours since dd2. now on the pill and it starting several days before the pack ends. what is going on indeed. can only assume childbearing is in some way to blame?

I have problems too, mine are light for 3 days, then realy heavy (clots) for 2 days, then light for another 5 days. Sometimes lasting up to 12 days. I have been adviced to go on the pill.

The clots happen because the bloodflow is so fast that your body can't do the anti-clotting thing fast enough, I've read anyway.

According to the gynaecologist I see, it's to do with a lack of progesterone. I used to have this, but since starting on progesterone replacement (not the mini-pill) my periods are very light and almost normal

beanieb · 07/11/2008 08:18

subrosa - would lack of progesteroone be an issue when Trying for a baby?

Beanie, I think (although I'm not certain) that hormones need to be completely in balance, for you to be 100% fertile.
