has anyone else,s baby had to have one of these scans. How was it tolerated. Worried it might be painful/frightening for 18 month old. And worried about the sedation.

I'm getting a bit worried about the amount of procedures my kids have had, I seem to be able to contribute to most threads!

Ds had this done when he was very small, much younger than 18 months, (about 3-6 months old). There was no sedation, and he was remarkably good about it all, no tears at all . The actual procedure doesn't take long at all, but you have to wait for a couple of hours for the fluid to work so they can take pictures.

Have a look here to see if it helps, it is an american site but the procedure is the same. Hth.
