They have scheduled my procedure under local anaesthetic at 9am on the day of a family party. We arranged a babysitter ages ago for this and I dont want to cancel the appointment as they are like gold-dust!

How did you feel afterwards - will I be able to go?

I dont want to let my sitter down at the last minute - would prefer to be honest if I know that this procedure leaves you feeling really yukky.

Hope that makes sense

I had one a couple of years ago and couldn't believe how quick simple and painless it was - I actually watched it and it took less than 10 mins so you'll prob be fine. Worth calling the dept. and speaking to nurse in charge though; I'm sure they will be able to reassure you similarly

I searched cystoscopy as I have one booked for next week and this came up.
murphyslaw - I wonder how yours went? I don't have a family party but my 13 year old DS1 has a friend staying next week and I'll have a houseful of boisterous boys to manage.
