have you any digestive problems?

DraculaNeedsArteries · 20/10/2008 22:16

Sounds like what I had assumed palpitaions feel like...(no experience though)

The fast heartbeat suggests cardiac problems (I think fast heart is palpitations)...painful (left?) boob combined with the tachycardia (fast heart) doesn't sound too good either. Is the pain definately inteh flesh of the boob and not under the boob IYSWIM?

Cheesesarnie · 20/10/2008 22:21

well i dont actually have much boob.its kind of under and in the middle and above(am rubbish i know).feels bit better atm.

Cheesesarnie · 20/10/2008 22:21

ummm had twisted bowel apparently about 3 years or so ago..does that count as digestive?and used to get ibs?

misi · 20/10/2008 22:22

a fast heart beat does not always signify heart problems before you get too worried cheese. a heart can beat fast for many reasons and only probably around 20% of reasons are for cardiac abnormalities.

Cheesesarnie · 20/10/2008 22:23

thankyou.

misi · 20/10/2008 22:23

ok cheese, can you think about what you have eated on the days you get this pain and heart beats?

Cheesesarnie · 20/10/2008 22:25

ummm well today have been crap-3 packets of crisps, pasta bake and a couple of biscuits

misi · 20/10/2008 22:29

and it was worse around an hour after these foods perhaps?

Cheesesarnie · 20/10/2008 22:30

ummm maybe.cant think.probably sooner than hour.

Cheesesarnie · 20/10/2008 22:31

after dinner i mean.probably with 30 minutes

misi · 20/10/2008 22:32

ok, and do you think that on other days you get these pains and heart beats that you eat foods that are rich and or have fat in them?

luvaduck · 20/10/2008 22:35

what is the pain like? burnign crushing stabbing? for example?
worse when you move or beathe or cough?
any other symptoms?
whcih side?

Cheesesarnie · 20/10/2008 22:39

i dont know about the food but i guess i do tend to eat fatty foods(crisps, cheese etc)

its kind of achey.hurts if i cough or laugh etc, just bit uncomfortable when i move.mostly on left side but bit in middle and was on right side the other day for a bit.

Cheesesarnie · 20/10/2008 22:40

im so rubbish at describing!sorry

luvaduck · 20/10/2008 22:41

does it reproduce the pain if you press on your rib cage?

Cheesesarnie · 20/10/2008 22:45

does that mean hurt more?pressed my ribs (not hard)and it hurt but not like agony

misi · 20/10/2008 23:06

no worries cheese. does the ache/pain ever go over the shoulder and round the back? do you feel sick at any time when like this?

luvaduck · 20/10/2008 23:08

it's difficult (and dangerous) for anyone to diagnose you over the web. esp with chest pain.
from what you are describing, it doesn't sound like its coming from your heart which is obviously the thing to worry about with chest pain BUT you need to be examined, in person to find out whats up

so go to Gp tomorrow (boring answer i know)

good luck!

Cheesesarnie · 20/10/2008 23:16

no not back, shoulders etc.and not sick.

misi · 21/10/2008 11:56

now do you think you will get the rest you need ??

Cheesesarnie · 21/10/2008 12:07

rest?your having a larf????!!!nope i dont suppose i will tbh.

thankyou though-and good guess!am i right in thinking your a therapist of some kind?i remember 'talking' to you on mn before but cant remember iyswim?

misi · 21/10/2008 12:48

yes, was a few weeks ago if not longer!

am a herbalist, nutritionist, and a few other things too

you must try to rest that side of your body though, try to move your arm as least as possible and no lifting if you can help it, and if you are in need of a cuddle from the kids, sit down rather than stand if that makes sense?
