This is so embarrassing but here goes....
I seem to have a very large water works / piles problem .
At night I go to the loo before bed but as soon as I get into bed I feel as if I need a we again. If I don't go then it keeps me awake. I don't think I have an infection as this has been going on for years.
I now seem to have developed a sort of OCD style problem with all this. I have got it into my head that if I sit on the loo for ages and attempt to squeeze every bit of wee out then I won't need to go through the getting up and going to the loo a million times in the night
This doesn't actually work as I still feel like I need the loo nomatter how long I've sat there
More problems: I can sit there for up to 40 minutes at a time - I know this is now out of control!
Resulting problem: I have hideous piles due to the amount of time spent sat on the loo
What on earth do I do?!

(OK, on re-read I really should have namechanged but now can't be bothered to change name and type all that out again! Oh, and apologies for emoticon overload!!)

You have a problem that is affecting your life. You need to see a doc.

I work in a gynae clinic, and no doc would laugh at you.

You may be sent for urodynamics, or to a physio. Go to the docs.

Good Luck.

my MIl has this, urge incontinence, she just feels like she hame. she has to go all the time. she has tablets and physio for her pelvic floor. to diagnose it they monitored her full bladder and how quickly her bladder responds in wanting to empty. her reaction was too fast meaning that she wants to wee badly with the smallest amount.

easily diagnosed and treated...go to GP

why is it only at night though? I never get this during the day unless I'm in a situation where the toilet is impossible.
