Dropped tampon on floor in swimming pool toilets. What would you have done?

The title says it all really. And I think you can guess what I did. I panicked, picked it up and wiped the applicator and then, after about 30 seconds of deliberation, did what I really did not want to do, and put it in. Please be gentle. Am slightly concerned I may have done a stupid thing. But would prefer to hear that all will be fine.

All will be fine.

are you new to the site?

i am sure you will be fine,

combustiblelemon · 19/10/2008 00:19

You'll be fine, but please don't do it again. It's icky unhygenic.

childrenofthecornsilk · 19/10/2008 00:20

Not that bad surely.

Skramble · 19/10/2008 00:20

I take it you then changed it as soon as possible and you have felt fine since then?

I think it is a dilema that most of us would never admitt but a fair few of us have had.

Keep an eye on your temp that will probably go up if you have managed to get an infection. Would the blood not wash most of it away anyway?

ceciliaaherne · 19/10/2008 00:22

Thanks. At the time I couldn't face the other prospect but have been mulling it over too much. Thanks all.

Could you really get an infection from a floor though?

ceciliaaherne · 19/10/2008 00:25

Skramble. Yes, I did change it very soon after. Did think that about the blood as well. Also thought that as it was only the applicator, it wasn't going too far, if you see what I mean. Sorry, this is far too much informationa and anyone who answers has certainly gone above and beyond. Agree it is totally icky and unhygenic. Thanks again
