Wierd vibrating or buzzing pelvis - help!

Another thread reminded me about this and I wondered if anyone else experiences it or knows what it is...

I often have a strange vibrating sensation in my pelvis, on the left side above my hip. There have been several occasions when I went to get my mobile phone out of my pocket because it was vibrating, only to find that my phone was on the other side of the room and that it was me that was making the buzzing

WTF is it?

Please tell me I am not a total freak.

Stop joking. I had that when I was pregnant, and I used to worry somehting was badly wrong. Everybdy I asked about it made a smutty remark! I googled it and found nothing. Both children were fine though, and normal deliveries (although both 3 wks early).

Am not pg. I've had it for about 2 years my DS is 3.

I did make the mistake of googling 'vibrating pelvis' but that is not a good idea if you want anything other than smut.

Am glad other people have it!

this is interesting anecdotally It seems there are a world of vibrating women out there. The random stranger nurse type at top of forum article thinks muscular twitches

It can't be anything serious then, can it. Twitching muscles. How strange. It feels more like it is in the bone that muscle but I am so taken aback every time it happens, I don't think I pay much attention to exactly what it is.

I am usually worried that other people will hear it

I had this in the few weeks after DS1 was born.
It freaked me out completely.

I put it down afterwards t perhaps having an infection or something like that.. but perhaps I am just odd like you lot

Well some think it might be trigger by trauma (as in birth or pg for eg) or nerve compression.

But this is google remember, if it continues and bugs you you need to get thee to the gps just to check. Even if they just look blankly at you and shrug their shoudlers.

I only just saw my dr. I am not going back for a year so it will have to wait. It doesn't hurt, it is just odd!

Yes, don't mention it in rl! I made the mistake of saying something like "you know that buzzing you get down there when you're pregnant?" 3 faces like this look back at me.

Hi there, I have this and it's driving me crazy!!! It's not painful just very annoying. I am 55 and have two grown up children. I experienced it years ago when I was starting the menopause and a friend told me she gets it and that it was hormonal. It suddenly stopped but five years on its reappeared! I've had it for a week, like a buzzing on my pelvic bone, like a trapped nerve sensation? It stops when I apply pressure on it but don't think it's a great idea to walk around with my hand on my groin! Anyway I googled it and saw this thread. If nothing else it's reassuring to know am not the only one!! Thanks

I've just started getting it and found this thread. Did exactly the same as the first poster and thought it was my mobile.
I've got 12 year old twins and have never had it before so don't think it's pregnancy related. Good to know I'm not on my own! Confused

Sorry I know this is a very old post but it's popped up in my Google search.
I have this also, I also have some damage to my brain so my concern is that this could be the reason I'm getting it (got to love Google)
Did anyone seek medical advice? Or did it just go away ?
