Shingles rash appeared yesterday. It is getting more sore and itchy. Does anyone have any helpful advice or personal experience?

Sorry. Not much advice, just copious amounts of sympathy. Had it when writing exams (the ones that were practice for the equivalent of A Level) and it was agony.

Wear lose clothing. That's all I can think of.

How long did it last?

It was so long ago now I can barely remember.

You poor thing. I found anti-histamine tablets helped stop the itching- I used loratadine. I put hydrocortisone cream on it too, but I don't know whether that helped or not.

I also took ibuprofen. And cursed my MIL a lot for making me so stressed- that helped too.

have you taken antiviral meds yet? The sooner you take them after onset, the more effective they are at shortneing the illness iirc.
