My friend's mum was accused of hurting my friends baby brother. It was discovered that he had a broken collarbone when he was just a few weeks old. This was about 15 years ago though.

They were very heavy handed with her and accused her of doing it herself. However my friend's mum had said whilst in hospital after the birth that she was concerned about his shoulder and arm as he didn't seem to be moving the arm and there was a lump. The midwife was very dismissive and said that there wasn't anything wrong with him but luckily she had made a note that the mother had concerns. During the investigation they discovered this note and they backtracked immediately. They said it was obvious it had been broken during the birth/delivery.If the midwife had not made the note on her file then things could have been very different.

That story is probably not very helpful - sorry. Why do they suspect that she has done it? for your friend.

thanks for reply it will give her some hope.
because they say they break was older than she assumed and the exact time of break is not known, she has history of mental illnessed(although recovered) and because she did not mention that her and her partner sometimes argue. it just seems they want to accuse her but dont actually have any substantial evidence.
