codeine/paracetamol - has anyone used this in pregnancy to treat sinus pain?

I have really severe sinus pains (chronic sinusituis). I really need something more than paracetomol which does'nt touch the pain. I have read it is safe before 32 weeks. Has anyone had any experience of this?

I asked my MW and got the standard, paracetamol only response! I've read that co-co is NOT ok in pregnancy.

i had codine phosphate on/off my pregnancy as i got bells palsy and the headaches were hell. Plus I had horrendous toothache.
Two different dr's prescribed it, so must be ok.

I have read that it is but the general advice is not to take anything other than para. I am going to make an appoinment with docs and see if he will prescribe something.

fiofio,

My MW has said that Gp may prescribe co-co, so my info was obviously wrong.

I was prescribed co-codamol when I was pregnant for sinus pain, so I guess it must be ok.
