So DH took a sachet of picolax at 5.30pm, and STILL hasnt 'been' normal?

one each night will get him going nicely in the morning, tesco did start selling them or are available online. the ingredients in these tabs gently get the bowel working again whereas exlax etc type products just forces the chyme through for a big poo but does nothing else to alleviate the underlying probblem if there is one. even if this is a one off, a box of colax is always handy for those emergencies!!

yeah but he has an appointment for a barium follow through tomorrow morning, which is why he has been given the picolax, they wont do it without him eing clear will they? thanks for replying though.

ah, ok, no they need a clear bowel.
has he drunk enough water? picolax is an osmotic which means it draws water into the bowel to increase volume so to expel as much as possible, if he hasn't drunk enough water they don't work!!

Ohh, it's nasty stuff. He needs to make sure he drinks it how the instructions state. Poor bloke.

lol, no dired apricots unfortuantly, still no poo though is my DH afreak or what?

am very impressed that he can resist the power of picolax!!!!!! had to have it once for a colonoscopy - gallons of it and it got to the point where I didnt bother drinking it - I just poured it straight in the loo.
