Sudocrem or callomine lotion.

get thee to boots and by an insect tazer - a zapper that delivrs a small electric shock and stops them itching. Oh, and take piriton. We have had zillions of midges here with the mild weather. Little beggars are worse than mozzies.

Gingerbear · 09/10/2008 22:31

I need to come and see you about a cozy coupe don't I?

YOu can get antihistamine creams too - we have Anthisan, I think it's called, as DD reacts really badly to any stings, including nettles (lasts for days on her).

RedOnHerBeheadedHead · 10/10/2008 17:34

mix some bicarb with water and slap that on, it neutralises the sting.

or vinegar.

countingto10 · 10/10/2008 17:58

Mild hydrocortisone cream you can by over the counter - it will stop the itching.

uptomyeyes · 10/10/2008 18:01

Stingeze spray. A good long zapp of that directly onto the sting and it just feels nice and cold.

whomovedmychocolate · 10/10/2008 20:57

I use sudocrem too.

geminigirl · 10/10/2008 20:58

Yes, sudocrem for me too.

Gingerbear · 10/10/2008 22:45

YG I will let you know - DH's car is out of action and he is on 2-10 next week. Hope his car is fixed by then!

Take an anti-histamine tablet. Takes away the itching, from the inside IFSWIM...
