Question about periods

Now i'm old enough (38) to know this, but i'm not sure if its happened before. Sorry if its tmi

I'm due to start around now and am having the cramps but no real sign yet. However yesterday i had a slight show of brown, not lots, so i thought i must be starting.

Cue today and still no sign, just a bit more brown. Is this normal and i'm just being dim ? Can't really remember previous months. Has anybody else experienced this?

I had a smear last year and was fine, and i am not in any pain. Any thoughts.

i had similar thing . Do you have a coil ? this used to happen to me when i had mine, for about 3 days before mine would start brown not much them would get period .

No coil. Thanks for the answer though.

Oh well i shall wait and see.

im sure it will arrive soon , i dont have my coil now but ,i do now get a brown/pinky show before mine arrives .
Think its just the old blood coming out left from the last month , this could be a one off thing to .Try not to worry x
