Ds is 19 weeks old and hasn't pooed for two weeks now. Has anyone got nay advice. He is breastfed and I have tried giving him some water which he doesn't really want to take. Out of desperation I made a puree of pears, banana and apricot thinking that would help but still no poo!

Any ideas?

Could try diluted orange/apple juice.
Or massage/cycling motions with baby's legs.

I'd avoid bananas, as they tend to have opposite effect. Might be worth ringing your HV - good luck x

Two weeks is quite long but sometimes breastfed babies don't poo for very long periods and there is generally no problem. Iirc my daughter went longer than 2 weeks and all was fine. It's because breastmilk is such an ideal food there is often very little waste. He should not need water, fruit or anything else.

Does he seem to be in any pain? If not I wouldn't worry.
