Anyone tried Duct Tape for verrucas???

I was told today (whilst having verrucas frozen at Drs) that you can use Duct Tape to get rid of them. Has anyone actually tried this? Does it work? Have spotted the thread lower down on using banana skin, so will try that as well!

I read an article in a magazine about it. It said that you had to put it on and when it fell off (the duck tape) just replace it then once a week file down the verucca skin. It was just as effective as using creams but I think it said that if it was going to work it worked in the first couple of months. I have a verucca and keep planning to use it.

I did it on a big one. It worked. It has gone.

I just did a literature search of the medical journals, and in clinical trials it didn't actually work.

DH used it on a wart on his thumb and it worked.

DD was recommended to do this on her warts by our GP. Unfortunately it didn't work, but then neither has anything else we have used.

Malory - did you just drop neat T Tree oil on to it every night?

black banana skin works as well, takes a couple of weeks but worked a treat on dd

i was told by chiropodist that usually our own immune system will recognise warts/verrucae as enemy and attack, but sometimes it all goes wrong and they are allowed to exist. he sliced mine off with scalpel yikes. boost to immune system will help loads.

My brother is currently using it on his. It seems to be working.
