I'm not sure if this is what it is but every now and then I get a sort of shaky thing...I feel a bit sick, need to go to the loo, and I can't stop shivering. it passes generally after maybe an hour or less - no temp, just seems to be sometimes after I have had chocolate - maybe after a few days without - or else, what I thought it might be is vitamin C as I have noticed it is sometimes after having that after a break.

I used to get like this when I was in my early teens and my mum would sit beside my bed till it passed - we called them panic attacks. Maybe that's what they are, it's plausible - but I wonder if they are triggered by something I eat?

Sorry for typos am a bit shaky..

I often eat chocolate without any problems btw.

Caffeine sends me funny, but that is because I avoid it so when I drink coffee I start getting all excited and butlins red coat with the children and then hide in a corner shaking and feeling dizzy. A bit like a usual soft play hostess scenario I suppose

Slur that made me laugh

I think it might be a combo. Caffeine plus vit c plus some weirdy probiotic plus knackered from sleepelss nights...

it is mighty familiar though whatever it is.

If i had a temp I would be convinced I was dying of something dreadful though. I think I might be getting a cold but that's it.

I get the shakes, feel sick and dizzy when I've had strong sugary coffee. Please remind me of this when I get into medical school!
Not eating regularly can also do this for some people. Don't skip breakfast!

Thanks avena

are you going to be a Dr? That's so cool!

i have hot water bottle
baby and big boy are both sleeping in my bed

I wish my mum still lived down the road. I'll be fine in a while but gosh don't you feel like a little girl again when you get ill?

Not yet, I sit the entrance exam next year so it's a hard slog (coffee won't help ). It's probably the sugar in the chocolate, it only has little amounts of caffine. Give it time to work it's way out.

You do sound like you are coming down with a bug though so I would be tempted to take some paracetamol if you can and have an early night. It's worth poping to the GP and getting him to check your blood sugar aswell as you never know. Phone NHS direct if you feel worse.
