Has anyone ever had this? Think I picked it up gardening last week and now have an ugly patch on my arm which is all red and in a ring shape. Got some Anti Fungi cream from boots, but wondered when it will go away as its driving me nuts?

DD1 had one a couple of years ago whilst at nursery, the doctor prescribed some anti fungal cream and it took about 2 weeks to fully clear up.

I remember my brother having ring worm years ago.
It should clear up really quickly with anti fungal cream.
Don't worry. It's not nice, but is easy to treat.

Both my ds's seem to have this too. The dr prescribed antifungal cream but as yet it hasn't cleared up (about 2 weeks)

DH had this for years and kept thinking it would sort itself out and it didn't and it didn't. Eventually a skin specialist, seeing him for an unrelated matter, noticed and was fascinated at this example of ringworm allowed to go unchecked for years. He took ghoulish photos to show skin students.

Anyway he had very strong cream and strong drugs at the same time to get rid of it. It took ages (two months) to clear up but he's go the most beautiful soft young hands again.

Just a note of caution ... Lymes disease also shows up as a very distinct ring around where the tic has bitten. It's very nasty so you may want to eliminate that.
