why why why doesnt he sort things himself?

dh told me the other day he had a rash on his legs. o i thought, if it was bad he'd make a gp's appointment.

just seen his legs. they are a bloody mess.

grrrr

i have no idea if its an infection, or result of seide effect of meds, or what.

why cant he sort this stuff out? its his health, not mine.

Because he's a man.

ok, hes told you, now let him get on with it, it IS his health, now let him sort it.

aqh but you see, he is a man who has had a heart transplant and is meant to take responsibility for his own health. have checked and its spreading up his back.

looks like ringworm, but not quite. am thinking its possibly fungal, but he will now have to wait till monday to see the GP.

call your local out of hours gp - sometimes they will advise over phone or offer you an appt at the wkend.

dh is the same (though fortunately without the major health issues)

him "my throat hurts."

me "then go to the drs."

a week later

him "my throat still hurts."

me "go to the drs."

him. "will you make me an appt?"

me " NO! you are an ADULT! YOU sort it!"

dh is off out on his first night out since the transplant with some friends in p'boro. and wont be back till tomorrow afternoon/evening.
