Snoring - Mouth Device mentioned by Robert Winston

i saw a program on BBC a few weeks ago hosted by Robert Winston talking about sleep and sleep problems etc. They mentioned a device you get from the dentist (kind of like a retainer) that worked wonders for a woman who snored very badly (insert in your mouth and it brings your jaw forward and prevents the snoring). I think you have to get it specially fitted at the dentists. Can anyone remember the name of this device please??
