Can anyone help?

I have revolting veritable boils on my poor chin. They seem to pop up about 1/2 way through my cycle and has been confirmed as hormonal acne, all apparently due to too much progesterone in the 2nd half of my cycle. Ugh ugh ugh.

Anyway have just been to the docs and he has prescribed a pill to go on, but . . . dh and I are still thinking about ttc dc3 - am very undecided but that's a whole other story. So, the upshot is i'm not certain I want to go on the pill just yet, do you have any natural (or unnatural) remedies for this?

Oh also have developed raging pmt so if you know of anything that can help that too that would be wonderful - have been taking Evening Primrose Oil for the last couple of weeks so am hoping that will help.

The first time I had it, I also had some laser treatment, which works like this:

"The laser light attacks the bacteria that create painful lesion, thereby reducing inflammation and drying out the sebaceous glands.

This treatment is suitable for all types of acne, unless the individual is taking the drug Roaccutane."

(I nicked this from someone else's website)

It was expensive - I think the first time I paid around £250 and then for the dermasweep alone around £100 - so it's obviously not something you have every week! But it has made a real difference to my skin. When I didn't have outbreaks, I had red patches/scarring where the acne had been and these have almost totally gone.

Have a look at this video www.youtube.com/aknicareuk#p/u/1/FMMvyIYR0PQ it's got a DR talking about acne.

It's quite common to occur due to the amount of stress mothers put on themselves with work and bringing up kids.

The clip has got some good advice and some new product that's really helped me.
