Ok, never had a migraine before, had head aches of course but this freaked me out abit .

At about 9am the morning I was getting DS3 dressed and my vision went all wierd. Kind of like I was look through a crystal or something, like lots of little segments......errrr....hard to describe really. Just on the outer edges of my sight. Hope that makes sense. It just changed, in an instant, as I bent down to pick something up.

Well that lasted about an hour or so, I felt quite wobbily TBH. Then the head ache started. Forehead, eyes, sinusis(sp?) all really really hurt.

I've taken some super-doper strength pain killer and they have taken the edge off but I feel...well....just odd, I suppose. Achy/shooting pains in neck and shoulders ATM with a fuzzy head.

Do you think this a Migraine?

I've never had/felt anything like this before I'm thinking all sorts of sinister things going on and am freaked out

Some recent research shows an apparent link between migraines and holes-in-the-heart (tiny ones). Very interesting and a possible new avenue for research into permanent cure. Will try to find a link.

They are looking for volunteers for research.

This is really interesting because I would say I've never had a migraine but have had some visual disturbances as have been described here. I've never had a headache following them or one that's so bad that I can remember. These started when I was about 14. I can remember the exact day and everything (was when I was in high school doing an art exam) My mum has always suffered quite a lot from migraines so I suppose its possible I might be prone to them.

i have migraines and have also found that sleep is the only thing that will cure one completely, still i sometimes have them for days. (though not often) migralieve worked well for me at first but then i seemed to become "immune" to it. other tablets will take the edge off but not cure completely. im often left feeling "drunk" after a migraine..no pain anymore but very dizzy and disorientated, squinting in the light.

a friend of mine suffered badly with migraines and had reflexology which really cut down their frequency
