Something popped in dh calf (sp?)

dh just come in from squash limping and moaning.... he was playing and felt something pop in his calf as if someoen was throwing a ball hard at the back of it. He has asked me to ask mumsnet what to do lol?

Like im not good enough anymore?

So im asking?

He was back just after 12 so not bad, anyway a strained muscle - he has hobbled of to work this am in a mega grump.

Yes thanks - he said he was seen for all of 5 mins and they poked his leg about and made there diagnosis but no x rays or anything. Oh well.

Sounds thorough . Although i don't think x-rays help. Depends on the quality of the poking I'd suppose - pity DH is at work or I'd run it by him again!

I don't think X-Rays can pick up ligaments or tendons, they are the wrong density.
It's all down to the range of movement in the limb (I think), when a tendon ruptures then the limb movement will be restricted in some way.

It takes about 30 seconds to tell if you've ruptured an achilles - 5 minutes is luxury!

XR good for irradiating a leg. Not much else in this case!
