Glad it's nothing more serious!

AvenaLife · 01/09/2008 11:25

That's good news.

Nappyzoneneedssleep · 01/09/2008 11:54

Yes thanks - he said he was seen for all of 5 mins and they poked his leg about and made there diagnosis but no x rays or anything. Oh well.

Sounds thorough . Although i don't think x-rays help. Depends on the quality of the poking I'd suppose - pity DH is at work or I'd run it by him again!

AvenaLife · 01/09/2008 12:29

I don't think X-Rays can pick up ligaments or tendons, they are the wrong density.
It's all down to the range of movement in the limb (I think), when a tendon ruptures then the limb movement will be restricted in some way.

bruxeur · 01/09/2008 12:37

It takes about 30 seconds to tell if you've ruptured an achilles - 5 minutes is luxury!

XR good for irradiating a leg. Not much else in this case!

fab - thanks. I cant wait till he comes in from work (not!) so i can wait on his every need!
