I have a bottom problem.

I have had piles on and off since I had my third child. I seem to have finally got them under control with cream. Since they have disappeared though I have noticed I have a skin tag sticking out of my anus.

It's quite big, not sore but I'd like it gone.

Anyone ever experienced same?

Hi, a colo-rectal surgeon will be happy to remove that easily and quickly. They are very common and the major problem for the patient is one of embarrassment, the surgeon will have seen hundreds. You need to see a GP for a referral and you may even find the GP can do it, generally they are not difficult. Incidentally, you may find that ointment is better than cream should your piles recur.

Have googled a bit and yes, it seems it is common. I am going to have to be brave and see GP I think. I'm due a smear test so maybe I should make an appointment to get the whole of nethers seen to at once.

Will try ointment alias - still quite itchy, find creams shrink the piles but am left very itchy.

I had one of these, saw a specialist and he said he wouldn't remove it as big ones can pose problems with bleeding and it's often safer just to leave them where they are, unless they're causing a physical problem.
