DD has got yet another eye infection

She has had alot of them since she was born and one of her eyes was swollen when she was born.

Our gp has refered her to the eye clinic but we still haven't heard anything.

Them gp thought the last infection she had could have been Cellulitus which would explain why it's re-occuring but I wanted to know if anyone else has had this problem or even had cellulitus in the eye and if so what happened?

How old is DD? I've heard people having great success treating eye infections with breastmilk - didn't know about this when DS1 had his.

At any rate, DS1 had a few eye infections, always yellow goop, nothing too scary, they seemed to go away on their own, if I remember rightly. Very scary and unpleasant, though.

I don't know anything about Cellulitus, I'm afraid. Hopefully someone who does will be along soon ...

Thanks, she's 16 months so I don't think there will be much breast milk here!

It's just a bit frustrating. It doesn't always have nasty gunk in it, most times it's swollen.
