spots - do your children get them?

dd1, 3.5 years has a spot with a bit of a head, on her cheek which has appeared overnight. She's not ill and her diet is normally okay....
Does anyone elses children get spots - what causes them?

Ds aged 7 grew this absolutely whopper overnight - a real, teenage spot with a head on it. Even his school friends were impressed!
I have to confess it was so disgusting that I squeezed it . I've no idea what caused it!

I am tempted to squeeze it - but don't want to make it worse, or hurt her!

I must be a bad mummy! I just made sure that it was well cleaned and that my hands were clean also - used a tissue to squeeze and it was over in no time (although it was ready to go, IYKWIM). I think it was a relief for ds, as the pressure from it had been quite unpleasant.
