Could somebody help me stop looking like a 'scarecrow!' (HELP)

For the last year or so, I have started straightening my hair and have had highlights put in and it is a total mess. Somebody please tell me what I have done wrong. The ends are totally 'frazzled' and I look like a scarecrow. I have always used heat protection spray prior to using straighteners and am always careful what products I use. I know people who straighten their hair everyday and it looks nothing like mine. If I leave it to dry naturally it looks even worse and I am going camping next week. Could somebody please advise me of some 'wonder product' that will sort this (if there is such a thing). Thanks.

well...there is but it is expensive! there is some sort of system that "locks in" the straightening effect. i think it costs about £300 (!!!!!!!!!) and lasts a few months. i've read articles about it in the papers. apparently it's brilliant but i'm sure you're not that desperate!
part of the problem may be the high humidity at the moment - i have very fine hair, though lots of it - which is highlighted and i use straighteners, but it looks awful at the moment because it's so humid. it frizzes the minute i dry it.

my hairdresser does a japanese straightening treatment for £60. its permanent and can be done on bleached or highlighted hair
AND makes your hair really smooth after.. (I had straw like hair before he got his hands on me!)
