High!

he is reducing his dose now on harefields advice, and repeat blood tests on thursday.

local surgery nurse has written him up for every blood test going in preparation for next weeks big one year check.

So it definitely wasn't a heart attack?

Saggarmakersbottomknocker · 11/08/2008 17:48

Oh good - well not good, but good you have a reason for his blip.

BoysAreLikeDogs · 11/08/2008 17:49

Surely it's not a year, misdee??

Amazing

LackaDAISYcal · 11/08/2008 17:49

phew misdee; at least they can now deal with it.

Can't believe it's a year already...are you celebrating with something nice?

misdee · 11/08/2008 17:51

not a heart attack.

but it's highly likely its the reason for his strange turn, and the ongoing unwell-ness he is feeling.

am still that it took some people from an online community to twig what was wrong with him, and not the medical staff (thank you NH and ILTMIMI), and it still took them half a day to get the right bloods drawn for it.

those levels came back high even with him missing a dose.

hippipotami · 12/08/2008 11:05

Oh, I am sooo glad it was not a heart attack.
Is there any way you can write to the local hospital or get harefield to do it, and effectively get them to improve their service to transplant patients? After all, they did not appear to have a clue did they?

But happy for you and Peter and the girls that all is well

misdee · 12/08/2008 17:31

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 12/08/2008 17:37

You did indeed

Great (sort of ) news, am so glad you've got some answers.

I hope all goes well for the anniversary check, although I guess that may involve a biopsy?

I hope you are also taking time to look after yourself during all of this (stern finger-wagging emoticon)

wannaBe · 12/08/2008 17:40

can I ask..

what is the tacrolimus for?

Am so glad it was nothing too serious. but bloody hell has it been a year already?

misdee · 12/08/2008 17:56

tacrolimus, along with MMF is an immunosuppressant.

he is due at harefield later this month, overnight stay, having biopsy and angiogram.
