Period pains

This is probably normal, but just need some reassurance.
I started having period pains a few months ago. It's not very bad, just a cramping type pain during the night in the first 24 hours of my period (not during the day, for some strange reason). Anyway, just seems a bit unusual because I thought period pains are supposed to get better as you get older and once you have a baby, not the other way around. I have one DD, 2 years old, and had an elective c-section with no complications.
Has anyone had a similar experience? Should I be worried?

Take vit b as this relaxes the blood vessels and help to relive the pain - start taking one day before you are due and continue till the end.

Thanks Ivykaty - I will give that a go.

Anyone else? I know it's probably nothing serious but just strange that it only started a few months ago.

i have had this before my DD and was told it was muscle spasm and it would ease once i had a baby.

DD is now 2.5 and its just started to get worse again now. The GP gave me some strong pain killers to take methamelic (SP) acid they are really good.
Mine was so bad i couldn't even move and was sick from teh pain for the first day of my period not as bad now though but enough to be uncomfortable
