I been awake since 4am, can't swollow, throat so swollen I cannot even look down, and I ache so much.............head to toe.

and I have a raging temp of 39.9 but am shivering as tho it is icy cold!!!

DH has had to go to work too, so feel extra rough as the boys are live-wires today (when are they never live-wires).

I don;t do poorly well......

I have just had a shower and am now up. I have taken a call from my BF in Balgriffin, the river Moyne burst its banks and her house took in eight inches of water.

They had to leave via the downstairs bedroom window.

didn't get to the docs. DH came home and took out the children....I went to sleep.

not long been awake (so clearly needed it) but feel worse than earlier . just had more tabs and soup, will gargle (bluegh at the thought) in a little bit, and then text who I was going to see tomorrow to cancel them. hoping DH will be able to go to work late tomorrow morning so he can get me to the docs first thing...they have an open surgery for the first half hour.

going to have a shower now to see if that helps at all, and then bed down again.

feel sick aswell now too........am assuming it is all the tabs??

not keeping anything down now.....on eurythromicin (sp?)...allergic to penecillin! doc looked quite shocked tho when I went in and told him what was wrong with me......even commented that he needed to look and would most likely need to use a tongue thingy as he was not convinced that I was self diagnosing correctly.

he was more shocked when he looked and saw how bad my throat was.........I should feel quite gleeful maybe that I was right, but I feel so poorly I cannot take any joy in his squished conviction that 'just' being a doctor does not make him god!!!

hey ho......I am also on 'twice' strength tabs as he looked on the system to find I normally need two lots of antibiotics to mend me.........reckons strong tabs will hit me harder and therefore better.

thankfully DH is working nearby......he came home and fed the children lunch and also took me to docs. will be home again shortly to ensure all are still ok.

Hi Psycho - Sorry to hear how poorly you - tonsilitis is awful and the antibiotics can make you feel really sick. I hope you are able to get a bit of rest and feel better soon. I normally end up on double doses of anti-biotics so am interested to hear how the super-strength ones go - it could be that they are making you feel more sick as well as it's pretty strong stuff to go into an empty stomach.
