Hi, because of my morbid fear of hospitals am struggling to pretend to DH that I am not so bad but I am in agony.

The whole of my lower back aches so much that I am struggling to walk, cannot bend over at all and can't pick up DS. It's a very sharp ache.
Have been peeing alot which doesn't hurt but my back aches when I do so.

Wondered if it might be some kind of water infection. Does this sound familiar to anyone.

Am Sh*t scared will have to go to hospital which is why I have not admitted to DH how bad it is...it feels like I am in constant labour...

Any ideas???

thanks so much for your posts - called for emmergency doc last night - they didn't call me back until 1.30am and then told me to take paracetamol and go to bed (!)

Tried to go to the loo this ,morning and as I went to sit down passed out with the pain

truns out it was not a kidney infection but acute sciatica and lumbago - all my muscles had gone into a spasm.
Doc said I was very poorly and amazed I had lasted so long and managed to walk into surgery.

Take a paracetamol indeed!

They've given my Temazepam (sp?) and some strong anti inflammatory drugs can't remember waht they are called so hopefully will get better. Not sure what I can do long term though to make sure this doesn't happen again

Glad it's sorted, bongo, but from personal experience & some of the stories I hear, the NHS has a lot to answer for. My best friend's mother died just before Christmas from pancreatic cancer. I think her GP was still sending her home with paracetemol in November! It's a disgrace.
