DD2 2.3 always has a cough - any ideas? Have I missed something?

Title says it all really.

Even when she seems in otherwise good health she seems to have coughing fits.

Any ideas?

it may also be silent reflux

did she have feeding difficulties as a tiny ?

don't worry, there is treatment for asthma and reflux

keep asking until you get answers

Maybe she's allergic to rain? [hopeful emoticon]

Really????

Yes she had terrible feeding problems even up until 20 months - always choking on things and bing sick - she wold bring her food back quite often.

As a baby she was very colicky / refluxy

EPPM - no way! She'd be devastated...no more puddle swimming

mousey, I think you should ask for further investigation re. reflux

this type of thing is quite easily resolved with meds

BigBadMousey · 08/08/2008 09:54

Thanks. She has seen the pead about it but not much help. I haven't pursued it further as she seems much better now (apart from this cough)

Just thought I'd give a quick update and say thanks to everyone who took the time to reply with their experiences.

DD2 has been on the blue inhaler for a month and we have had a significant improvement which happened immediately. She hardly ever coughs at night atm despite having a bad cold. So thanks to everyone for advising me to check it out - it was the right thing to do .
