For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

TooTicky · 18/08/2008 19:03

Sorry SB!

Lullabyloo · 18/08/2008 19:07

Toot
Oh what gorgeous pictures
I shall send you capers...they are a bit like marmite..love em or loathe em.

Franny...I didn't even attempt meals other than baked potatoes or quiche for months & months & housework?????

pinkspottywellies · 18/08/2008 19:08

TooT Capers are Not Nice. They are this.

pinkspottywellies · 18/08/2008 19:08

TooT Capers are Not Nice. They are this.

TooTicky · 18/08/2008 19:09

Oh Lully you are sweet. They're not like olives, are they? [scared]

pinkspottywellies · 18/08/2008 19:09

Oh dear!

Maple syrup SB I like Branston beans too.

Lullabyloo · 18/08/2008 19:10

Um....a bit
Do you not like olives?

TooTicky · 18/08/2008 19:12

Okay Pink, I get the message!

No Lully, I really struggle with olives. I have tried. I would like to like them but haven't managed yet.

OsmosisBanana · 18/08/2008 19:13

It was great actually, I just like to make a meal of things for humour's sake... Or summat.

I was hilariously funny all day long. As always. DH says I don't look too rough. Cheers mate!

Ridiculous item of clothing DH bought me t'other day is actually brlliant and actually fits well. And is perfect festival 'cool, happening young thing' type item. Snurk.

Was most odd though. Turning up on a sunday you'd expect people to look a little, uh, twatted. Not a hint of hit. Two swigs of a mojito and I was the most wasted person there.

SuperBunny · 18/08/2008 19:13

Capers are yummy - all soft and salty

pinkspottywellies · 18/08/2008 19:13

I met up with 2 of the girls from my NCT group today. There were 5 of us altogether and we were all pregnant at the same time again!! (One had her baby Friday, one is due any minute, 2 of us in Feb and just found out the last is due in April )

I'm very tired today. But I've eaten much better. I shall list: (drum roll please)

Banana
Raisins (and nuts - bonus point)
Orange juice
Salad
Coleslaw
ChocolateTrifle
Cabbage
Carrots
Peas
Sweet Potato
Pear

Oh my god I made 10 Now I have to do 10 mins on the stepper to make it 10/10. I wanted to go running but DH is out so I'll have to go tomorrow instead.

pinkspottywellies · 18/08/2008 19:14

TooT capers are not like olives because olives are Nice and capers are Not Nice.

SuperBunny · 18/08/2008 19:15

Well done PSW. Choc trifle sounds yum and I don't even like trifle

TigerFeet · 18/08/2008 19:17

I don't think I have ever eaten a caper . Olives are the work of Satan. THere are not many foodstuffs of which I am not fond. In fact olives are the only things I can think of offhand. Oh yes. Mushy peas [vom]. And liver [double vom]

TooTicky · 18/08/2008 19:17

But olives are Not Nice. So does that make capers Nice? Confused

TooTicky · 18/08/2008 19:19

Possibly I wouldn't like them, if they are salty. I'm not overly keen on salt.

filthymindedvixen · 18/08/2008 19:19

Olives are divine. But only black ones. Greenones are the devil's cojones.
Capers do Not Appeal to me. I do not like fishy tasting things.

TooTicky · 18/08/2008 19:20

What about seaweed? Some people find that fishy. I love it.

TigerFeet · 18/08/2008 19:20

Do they taste fishy? Are they a bit like anchovies then?

filthymindedvixen · 18/08/2008 19:22

no seaweed doesn't taste fishy to me.

pinkspottywellies · 18/08/2008 19:23

No TF they're not fishy. Look at my link. They are planty.

TooT. I was trying to illustrate that you can like one and not the other. So if you don't like olives there is still hope with capers. Good Luck

FrannyandZooey · 18/08/2008 19:25

Olives are evil and capers not much better
