For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

There is just Too MUCH to catch up. I have oh so busy, I'll shall have to drip feed to you over several weeks I think.

And you must (please) forgive me for not knowing how you are, everyone has been so busy and I have been hidden away at ILs in the cuntry with no or little recption, oh it has been hard. But also wonderful.

But I am here again fwiw

Sooooooooo.

Today,
tomatoes, mushrooms, spinach, peppers, courgettes, strawberries.
bit of cycling.

UR That sounds tough for ds, and I suspect there might have been a little bit of meanness involved. It is one of situations though that I remember from school I think, a slightly younger child, unclear boundaries in play, a bit of superiority involved. With any luck the game will move on to more equal footing or he'll find different playmates in the playground.

FrannyandZooey · 16/08/2008 10:57

bugger have to go out to register ds2's birth and not time to read
will catch up later
had lie in
hoorah
am going to eat cake in town and then see glowy lady who says I should give up sugar [thrush]

Have a lovely time Boco.

Bee..reading your posts always makes me smile so much
Thinking of you & yours
The course sounds utterly wonderful

FK for you
Ds & I have been lovingly nurturing our little french beans
They are in a small, long pot & have climbed all the way up the terrace wall.Dh yanked the pot oout of the way the other day & snapped the whole plant.Ds cried loudly & I was unbelievably furious & upset.

100,that would be really kind of you & very much appreciated.I am a bit lost to be honest as have all sorts of weird & wonderful things happening with my body & cannot fathom whether it is Lymph or Liver related..or not related at all.I just cannot bear googling things or the related websites as it is grim reading & too upsetting.
My hair is all falling out again & I dont know why.
I have regular B12 jabs & ferratin tablets & that keeps my levels ok..so it it just stress related or something else?
Gaaah.........

UR...poor ds
That sounds horrid

putting some recent photos of ds up
they take so long to upload tho

TooTicky · 16/08/2008 13:34

Gorgeous pics Lully!! Goodness, he has grown up so much facially, hasn't he? He's beautiful.

about your poor beans

I am ea

ahundredtimes · 16/08/2008 16:16

Lully - I am being a not very good medical go-between because I got confused. I emailed friend, she has great sympathy for you, because lots of people don't seem to 'know' what is going on with her either, other than the scary ladies with their body stockings and drainage massages in Swiss clinic.

Right. Supplementary question which you can ignore, but which she asked - is this lymphoedema not lymphoma? If so where do you have it? She is generally v. good on all these sorts of things, and if I can get my L's right, then she can have a think for us about skin products.

SuperBunnyisUnderRated · 16/08/2008 16:27

Lully, those photos are beautiful. He looks ever so grown up.

My hair is falling out a lot - it's done it since I had DS but I think it's only stress but I had a nightmare about how much falls out. I don't know what one can do to stop it.

ahundredtimes · 16/08/2008 16:34

Also she says, is it generalized peeling and itching - not cellulitis? Which is an infection, often happens with lymphoedema. If so, with hair loss, sounds more like a liver thing than a lympho thing, in her opinion. Drink dandelion tea. Answer these questions and she will come up with miracle cure. Of course you may not wish to be so specific about your probs on the WWW which I do understand, but she needs more info.

or not.

Maybe go for heavy duty exzema type cream over beauty product cream? This is me. I am saying this. I am being v. helpful.

FrannyandZooey · 16/08/2008 16:56

Lully he looks so like you!

FK and Lully am very sorry about plants. Really upsetting when you have cared for something and nurtured them.

Have had fruity breakfast (can't remember what now) and rocket, radish, tomato, and some other leafy salad

think I may have thrush of nipple but not sure. Googled and am scared. All the medical treatments sound bad and all the self help treatments sound worse (giving up sugar and boiling everything for weeks)
apparently if I have it it will soon get too painful to breastfeed so at least I will know one way or the other
glowy lady has given me probiotics which is very kind but I hate probiotics. You may remember they screw up my stomach. She says these should not but am anxious and a bit pissed off about it (the thrush that is).

am also stiff in pelvis from gym. Ok no more gym then. Am really arsed off about that also tbh. I really need some endorphins. Shite. Having a tedious moment here sorry. Will try to tell amusingly disastrous story about going to register ds2's birth and have celebratory lunch in a bit. Involves everyone getting lost and then ds2 pooing triumphantly everywhere.

Dd1 is back!!!!!
She is all calm and smiley and gorgeous.
And desperate for Real Food ("Mum, I have spent the week eating Happy Shopper food. And Sainsbury's.")
Oh, and she is engaged

Grapefruit, apple, carrot, mixed leaves, tomatoes, red pepper, onion, courgette, pear, hummous.
All in all, probably about 10!

SuperBunnyisUnderRated · 16/08/2008 19:13

berolina · 16/08/2008 20:09

Hello everyone and hope all is well. I am back. Had most wonderful time and love lovely friend more than ever. Am dizzy with hunger and tiredness (train delayed 1.5 hours on way, making it a 6.5h trip plus getting to and from stations, plus cumulative effect of several nights of staying up until gone 2 talking and talking and talking) so no more now.

filthymindedvixen · 16/08/2008 20:15

Glad you had such a lovely time Bero, sounds like a real tonic

FrayedKnot · 16/08/2008 20:22

TooTicky · 16/08/2008 21:10

Yes, it is very lovely
The trip has done her a world of good. She says that she made more friends in the last week than she did in the whole of primary school.

TooTicky · 16/08/2008 21:12
