For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

No silly!! We're still listing fruit and veg. It's only OsBa who's listing clothes. You can list clothes if you want to send them away but no-one will want dp's socks

BBBee · 12/08/2008 22:00

capers and tuna pate sounds very nice.

OsmosisBanana · 12/08/2008 22:03

Don't worry BBee, it's one night only. I promise to take my wardrobe woes elsewhere after tonight.

FrayedKnot · 12/08/2008 22:21

Lol at Pink caling OsBa "hum"

Pink I fear cornflakes may be the work of the devil

have you got any oats?

I am a step parent, my SDCs are 20 and 21 now. Things have been patchy over the last few years but we actually managed to see DSD last week, went to her new house and it went v. well. I was really pleased for DH.

I have yoga'd ina studio with many mirrors all screeching muffin (and cake and biscuits and icecream) top at me

Have returned and eaten an apple

Boco hope shoes have dried.

Oh and gym thing yes I totally agree. The gym I go to is next to a river and there is a lovely view from the cross trainer of the trees, water and occasional boat. I find it most conducive to switching off.

TooTicky · 12/08/2008 23:32

Fishie, I didn't skin the beans, but then I quite like a bit of texture. I cooked the beans, then whizzed them with tahini, lemon juice, garlic - think I cooked the garlic actually as have had too many garlic/hummous crises. I can't remember what else I added. My dds liked it but my dses eyed it with suspicion.

TooTicky · 12/08/2008 23:35

Franny, who is NLNN? I am blank.

SuperBunnyisUnderRated · 13/08/2008 00:49

Banana, tomatoes (hundreds but I'll count it as two) so I def reached 10 today. Yay.

Walked about 4 miles pushing trike and am hoping that counts.

OsmosisBanana · 13/08/2008 09:17

Morning my fruity fiends.

Am still feeling virtuous today, even though I had cream with summer pud at 10:30 at night. at the cream, really no need for it.

I shall push that to the back of my mind.

Has Zippi abandoned us?

It is actually Autumn in Bristol. I am wearing my winter coat and a scarf.

I have £100 in my sweaty paws.... House of Fraser is having mahoosive clearance sale as they are moving to shiny shiny new bit of the shopping development, in with Harvey Nicks I believe.

I am going to go and stroke things I wouldn't normally be able to afford. Like bed sheets that don't go bobbly after one wash. And maybe some scales that don't tell me I'm 2 stone heavier than I thought. Maybe I'll leave the scales actually... Just in case my old ones were telling the truth

Sorry, it must be v dull, I am a bit weight obsessed ATM.

OsmosisBanana · 13/08/2008 12:54

where is everyone??

OsmosisBanana · 13/08/2008 14:31

Oh come on! I'm bored and have sod all work to do.

just bought lots of nice bedding in big sale in H of F. Very pleased with myself.

When re-did SD's room spent £60 bloody quid on duvet cover and 2 x pillow cases.

Today I got 2 x double duvet covers with matching cases and 2 king size fitted sheets in 200 count egyptian cotton for £60. Gah! Should have waited.

Now... Dh gave me £100 to do the job.... And I have a desperate kitchen porn itch to scratch (sorry, bad image). They had Analon (my favourite) great big handled saucepans that you can bung straight in the oven and nice knives and and and Ah kitchen shops. I could live in one. When I have finished my degree I will be able to put it on expenses

SuperBunnyisUnderRated · 13/08/2008 15:25

Hello OB, where's everyone else?

I think I am getting a bit weight obsessed atm but I am too scared to jump on the scales. I'd rather not know. Am trying to have a good week but have managed to scoff about 8 cupcakes in 2 days, and 3 biscuits covered in chocolate. Must not do more baking.

How was House of Fraser? I want new sheets. Wh will you be able to put kitchen porn on expenses?

Raisins

OsmosisBanana · 13/08/2008 15:35

I mentioned when drunk to BF that after my degree I wanted to set up a kind of nutritional consultancy.

ie look at peoples shopping habits, provide meal planners depending on what people want to acheieve ie weight loss, intolerances taken into consideration etc and to a lesser or greater degree some degree of catering depending on their budget!

My BF (who is about to be loaded through floating the comapny she is director of and is a business genius) said 'brilliant, lets do it'

She wants to buy big premises with house and out buildings and run it from there.

hence the business expenses!

Means I have to do it though. I was only drunk FFS!!!

However, she has a good head on her and if she says it's got legs then I'm inclined to believe her.

OsmosisBanana · 13/08/2008 15:36

H of F was great, shame I only had a lunch break, could have stroked the goods for quite some time...

SuperBunnyisUnderRated · 13/08/2008 15:49

Sounds like an interesting idea. I think some of the best ideas come through drunken conversations.

If I ever am allowed to work, I am going to buy new sheets and towels first.

DS & I have not got dressed today - we're watching Cars. We've never sat in our pyjamas and watched television before. It's quite nice. I can see how people do this all the time [bad mummy]

OsmosisBanana · 13/08/2008 15:57

arse, wrote msg involving duvets, fishfinger sarnies and crap tv but got deleted. You get the gist.

SuperBunnyisUnderRated · 13/08/2008 16:03

Sounds nice, OB. I'd just eat the coating on the fishfingers though.

I should get up and cook or something.

OsmosisBanana · 13/08/2008 16:08

nah. it's over-rated.

SuperBunnyisUnderRated · 13/08/2008 16:53

Where is everyone, OB? Do you think they snuck off and started a new thread without us?

Boco · 13/08/2008 17:13

Hello bunny and banana.

OB your business idea sounds good, the idea of big old house with outbuildings especially exciting, good and useful BF.

Have had childfree couple of hours in the actual big city, is very energising, seeing roads and people and things, I went to a bookshop and a cafe with my sister for lunch, was all very nice.

TooTicky · 13/08/2008 18:05

Have had letter through about ds2's pre-op assessment. It is making me feel all plungey and sick. I don't know wtf to do. Have spoken to homeopath but don't yet know what is possible. Should I be asking ds2 his opinions or is 6 really too young? Help!!

SuperBunnyisUnderRated · 13/08/2008 18:10

What does the letter say, Toot? Do you mean should you ask him if he wants it?

Have you had a second opinion that he needs it?

TBH, I'd probably be inclined to go for it, I think but I am not in your situation so I don't know. 6 is very young but old enough to talk about how he feels about something.

Hello Boco, your day sounds lovely. Days like that remind me that I am actually a grown-up, not an over-sized 3 yr old with a bit more responsibility. It's nice to see adults doing grown-up things and to have a conversation with real people, isn't it?
