For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

I want the check done at the earliest point it can be done - 6 weeks, not 8 weeks because they want to manipulate me into having jabs done at the same time, because they think I am too thick or lazy to come in otherwise

and I am pissed off about the whole inoculations thing
there are so ruddy many of them - many many more than ds1 had - and so many all scodged together in the same injection
I don't like it at all

I put my foot down about dd's jabs

I waited until she was a bit older

I think the HV's thought I was a refusenik but I wasn't - I just wanted to wait. Plus dd was born just as they were changing to the mercury free versions and I wanted to make damned sure they were the ones she got. She was about 12 weeks when she had the first one iirc.

She's just had her booster. We were called in when she was about 3.6 but I took her at 4.1. You might want to watch out for that too Franny - summer borns get called in early to make sure they get innoculated before their official school start in the September they are 4.

FrannyandZooey · 12/08/2008 20:12

avi no have not decided at all
hate the whole thing

TF I did the same thing with ds1 - spaced them out - the schedule they have shown me this week is insane

avi - greeny? exercise? LOLOL
HC, Filly...

oh! NQC?

I'm just cooking runner beans for my tea. It's all I fancy. I had a crisp sandwich for lunch cause we didn't have much in and I couldn't face cheese!

Whoever said they don't poo in the night for long - dd has taken to pooing early evening. Like she has just done now. I can smell it. But the first time she did it and I tried to change her it took about an hour to get her back to sleep and she was wailing and really cross about waking up. We just have to leave her til the morning now. She gets a bit rashy but it's just too much to do to wake her

I haven't just had crisps and beans today by the way. Also had banana, pineapple, blackberries, juice. So about 6 so far. And a very exhausting day at theme park place. No official exercise but I'm shattered.

Dd2 has just turned 4 and hasn't been called in for her booster.

HVs don't really like me as I didn't have MMR so maybe they have left me off list!!!

OsmosisBanana · 12/08/2008 20:41

Miss Selfridge short sleeve black top with peter pan collar and cap sleeves size 10.

Warehouse black top with high neck and three buttons up the back. Size 10.

camel coloured wool roll neck jumper from per una with bobbles round the wrists and waist band. size 12

Avi, he has two.

Franny, have you really not met Filly? I thought you had.

Tomatoes, onion, garlic, cauli, carrots, homegrown peas. But not all actual whole portions.

Oh, and I have just missed the Riverford deadline again!!!!!!

fishie · 12/08/2008 20:48

metanium is really good for clearing up sore bottom quickly but it doesn't half stain.

40 lengths swim
watercress
smoothie
beetroot hummous
lettuce
mint capers sundried tomatoes which i am sure count as one all together

TooTicky · 12/08/2008 20:50

Ooh, runner beans, yummy. Are they homegrown, Pink? I picked four recently in great excitement then realised all the rest were miniscule.
Dd2 calls them runaway beans

SuperBunnyisUnderRated · 12/08/2008 20:53

lol @ runaway beans. DS wears 'somescream' instead of sunscreen

pinkspottywellies · 12/08/2008 20:53

Homegrown TooT but not by me I haven't got the right kind of sunny bit for them. PILs gave me a huge bag last week inc carrots, beans, courgettes and gorgeous tomatoes.

Beans (2 portions) were delicious

TooTicky · 12/08/2008 20:56

somescream

Pink, how are your tomatoes? Ours are just ripening

TooTicky · 12/08/2008 20:57

Fishie, beetroot hummous? Really?

TooTicky · 12/08/2008 20:58

Avi, I should have said he has two not including the four we share.

TooTicky · 12/08/2008 20:58
