For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Who is bathroom cabinet?

BBBee · 10/08/2008 20:58

oh no - oh boco!

you are on the computer so that is good yes?

is your head all achy and pounding or all muffled and wooly? It is so horrid. Painkillers and big sunglasses are my remedies for such things - for days afterwards.

I missed the whole UTI thing - must have been whilst I was away.

Have you ever taken that magic potion franny is always talking about? kiki whatist?

oh these suggestions are crap - but heartfelt.

(btw - BathroomCabinet was me - am crap namechanger so am giving it up!)

BBBee · 10/08/2008 20:58

I could stay bathroomcabinet though couldn't I?

I needed a name quick and there was an advert on teh screen!

BBBee · 10/08/2008 20:59

this is my name change thread

BBBee · 10/08/2008 21:01

am giving up alcohol and caffine for a bit - alcohol will be fine - but caffine - oh dear.

Boco · 10/08/2008 21:02

No I didn't mention UTI - have been trying extra hard not to moan for days so have not used computer much in the hopes that would make me feel better. But look, can't resist.

Boco · 10/08/2008 21:03

Oh Bee how awful, have been thinking about you and your dh with the Georgia stuff, sounds terrifying.

BBBee · 10/08/2008 21:22

but health things are sometimes better if you do moan about them I think. If you have been poorly it is quite nice to tell people and share how you feel. Sometimes it is nice to shut away too though I suppose.

The Georgia thing is awful but also very far away and very powerless so is still a bit unreal for me. But DP finding it really hard. I am making lots of tea nad cooking his favourite things and trying not to be too grave or too trivial. Is hard!

quite nice flippinating about on here TBH. Is that terrible of me?

TooTicky · 10/08/2008 21:22

Oh yes Bee, I thought of your dh re the Georgia thing All those poor people

Boco, poor you again `You need a month in Switzerland with exotic Alpine herbs and things.

Thank you all for admiring my dcs

yes he is from georgia - things look bad but might be slowing down now.

did we have any talk of a meet again? I have been so out the loop-de-loop.

SuperBunnyisUnderRated · 11/08/2008 02:22

I like the pics, Toot.I had to change names to see them but was worth it

BBBeeeee hope you feel better soon. Georgia is worrying. Your poor DH.

I have eaten crap. Total Crap. All weekend.

And am almost sure I don't see a future with BF. Which is odd because he is really very nice, time-keeping problems aside. Not really sure how to tell him.

FrannyandZooey · 11/08/2008 08:05

Bee lots of love from me - so sorry that must be very upsetting for both of you. No I don't think it is terrible that you were enjoying nonsense on MN. Brain needs a rest from stress sometimes - very wise thing to switch off from it if you can - will enable you to function better the rest of the time

banana, raisins, orange, apple, pear

am a bit knackered, ds2 chewing on me half the night
bless him he is nice though

Morning!

TooTicky · 11/08/2008 09:48

It is indeed. Well spotted

TooTicky · 11/08/2008 09:49

Good luck UR, sounds tricky.
Why are you a bunny anyway?

berolina · 11/08/2008 10:11

Morning all.

Thoughts from me, Bee. It must be distressing.

Lovely pictures, TooT

Are you OK, UR?

We have taken hair pics but not got round to putting them on the computer. If we don't manage it you'll have to wait until Saturday - off to dear friend's today sans MN access.

Peach, apple, pear.

Off to garden to watch ds1 play with SIL's sis' dd. They get on so unbelievably well, I don#t think they've squabbled at all yet. It is lovely to see

BBBee · 11/08/2008 10:24

thanks for thouhts but don't want to doom and gloom it here - si always so sunny.

Have given up alochol for a bit - won;t be too hard as was never very much but a bit mindless IYSWIM.

Am down to one cup of coffee a day too.

I am enjoying the summer hoilidays as am having time to cook and do things properely for once.

Made really nice tomato sauce yesterdsay. Would love some nice meal ideas - am off to super market today.

We have our farm course startgin Tues which is lovely as we are all outside and occupied adn healthy. Am tired but excited.

Love to all.

littlerach · 11/08/2008 10:36

Bee, I did wonder if it was you on your other thread.
I hope it's all okay.

Trying ot pack, but too hard!!
Weather forecast was rain, now sun. gah.

Dd2 is still entranced by her tent, a good present I think!

Love the pics, TooTicky.

pinkspottywellies · 11/08/2008 11:31

Have you bulk amounts of tomato sauce BBB? I did some grilled field mushrooms the other day stuffed with lentil bolognese and topped with grated cheese. Quite nice!

OsmosisBanana · 11/08/2008 12:04

For a bunch of fairly uninspiring ingredients that sounds lush Pink!

Am now nearly recovered. Looking forward to a week of non drinking to prepare the liver for Beautiful Days at the weekend. Forecast (for the weather AND the liver!) is not good. Ah well, only oign for one night, dare say we won't sleep anyway!

Weddings were lovely. I managed to magically lose 4lb by Sat and the sausage look wasn't so bad. Saw some folk I haven't seen for a long time, danced like a loon to some old techno that I also haven't heard for a long time, kept waiting for Pimms O'Clock geezer to turn up and put Prince Charming on.

I have a meal plan for the week. Have only got as far as Wednesday. Suggestions on a postcard... Has to be diet friendly. Not salad please.

Hope all are well, the Georgia thing must be truly terrifying for you and uyoursBbbeee. Don't really know what else to say.

HAHAHAH!!! Guess what advert has just come on tv!

pinkspottywellies · 11/08/2008 12:25

Glad you enjoyed the wedding and didn't look like a sausage

What's on the menu plan so far? How about sausage casserole, beans on toast, jacket potatoes.

OsmosisBanana · 11/08/2008 12:37

Seafood risotto

Chicken and noodle satay salad

vegetable curry (hundreds of carrots in shed)

moorish crunch salad with tahini dressing (carrots again!)

I expect falafels in pitta will feature at some point.

We have lots of new pots in the shed too so I guess I could do some sort of crushed pot thing with cod n pea puree or summat.

Am leafing through Jamie O but feeling uninspired.

We don't really eat a lot of meat as our local tesco ethically sourced haven always runs out of the freerange stuff. Or just doesn't sell it...

Ah! refried bean fajitas. Always a winner.

BBBee · 11/08/2008 13:31

thank you - that is really helpful.

also thanks everyone for being nice. Every so often I think about what you all said and it is nice and helped.

tomaotes
onions
lentils (we count these don't we)
orange juice

so far....
