What's the dose for a 6-year-old?

What are the active ingredients?

Yes, NHS direct seems the best call. I doubt this will be serious, but it's worth checking. It's an understandable mistake.

me23 · 03/08/2008 17:42

on the phone to them now

What is the difference in amonunt of the active ingredient between a 5ml dose of the Adult one and the recommended dose of the Childs one?

NotQuiteCockney · 03/08/2008 18:09

I would think a single dose is unlikely to cause that much trouble - it's going to be less of the active ingredient than your DD is allowed in 24 hours, I would think, iyswim.

me23 · 03/08/2008 18:34

hi, the is 14 mls of the active ingredient in each 5 mls dose, nurse told me that adverse reactions were seen in children when they had ingested more than 150mls of active ingredients. so it's very unlikely dd will have a problem. He said no futher action needed and put her to bed as normal etc..
she is in bed now, I am going to take her doctors in the morning anyway as she has high temp and has had cough for a while now. Thanks for all your help.

in reponse to matnanplus, there isn't any of the active ingredient in the childrens one.
