ds blood on toilet paper .. could it be an anal fissure and which over the counter

cream could i use,
i had it once and the gp said germaline.. i think that is an antiseptic.
obviously i dont know that is what ds has. he says he doesnt strain. just blood.
suggested sudocreame.. wonder if anyone any other ideas?

Anusol- keep it in the fridge. Wrap an ice cube in tissue/flannel and hold it against the offending area for pain relief.

If definitely a fissure, rectogesic ointment on prescription can really help.

A keep your poo on the looser side of normal to allow the tear to heal.

Don't google. DS1 gets this every now and then. Bit of germolene or antiseptic cream. Then if it carries in see GP.

Plenty of fruit, plenty of water, and maybe some Anusol (ask a chemist if it is OK for DC, don't know how old yours is).
