what can u not eat when u r a diabetice please

just been diagnosed a diebetic and seeing doctor on monday but getting worried what do u have to cut out completly and what do u have to have as i treat if u r a dieabetic would u be able to tell me what ur typical days food is thanks

went to the doctor and i am fuming i haven't got to start tablets yet at all don't need to measure me blood they won't give me the test strips or needles so i have wasted £40 petrol coming back just to be told that the tests say i am diabetic which she told me over the phone and i have been referred to the diabetic nurse at the hospital why couldn't the doctor of told me that on the phone so had a row with her cos she said i had to come back from my holiday early to start medication straight away which was a load of rubbish cos all thats happened is she has referred me to the diabetic nurse she could of done that without me there i am so so nothing has been sorted and i have only been given one leaflet about what i can eat which is no help at all

Your sister may be a nurse, but it sounds like she is not trained in diabetes or nutrition, as the advice she has given you is either poor or has been misinterpreted.

I would be concerned by blood sugar of 8.7. I have been advised to keep mine below 7 one hour after eating.
