Ok, talk long cycles and testing to me! A confused Flamesparrow here!

So, saga has been on many threads now

Copper coil strings awol. Waiting for a scan to see if they are tucked up (most likely), if the coil has shifted out of place (less likely), or if it has fallen out (very much unlikely).

I don't know how long it has been hiding.

If it has been out of place a little while, then conception was possible around 5th.

I have a 5 week cycle, but ovulate around the 12-14 day mark still.

Period due by Monday at the latest.

Tested yesterday and was negative.

Have been feeling sick since Monday - it eases with food and water. Norks are huge (bra I got a week ago is now producing 4 nork effect, I normally get a bit bigger before period, but not huge like this). Keep having nosebleeds (common with me with too many hormones &/or anaemia). Been falling asleep by about 8.30pm each night.

Given the longer cycle - would it have shown up on a test yesterday (it would if I had a 28 day cycle and ov follows that system, but I don't know and am confused).

I know none of you can tell me until I have a period, but just an "ooh it is very unlikely it wouldn't have shown up yesterday" or an "ooh no, it won't show up until you are due" would be very helpful

I wanna know why I feel like hell!

No scan tomorrow - they called and cancelled (apparently tomorrow was meant to be another rummage anyway, not scan), so have an appointment for next friday when I have stopped bleeding etc.

Good news here though - DH says he wasn't saying no babies. He also says given the two options (this winter or next winter trying) he would rather sooner than later, so this winter it is!!!

Nappies - a nice pin in the wrong place

Sorry if speaking out of turn but I was concerned that you might have been m/c with a coil in place?

Apologies if upset you.

Great news from hubby though.

I am thinking exactly the same thing - it has hurt a lot more than normal, and is more clotty (far tmi I know).

Norks are starting to settle though!

So sorry.

Have you thought about going to A&E to get checked out and the coil removed?

I'm ok, seems to be settling a bit today.

The winter aspect was my thing (a whole obsessive due date thing ). Thinking coil remove in October. I need to get my meds etc in order first too so it will give me time to sort that.
