right
go and have a shower as hot as you can bear
straight after put a piece of bread in the toaster, take 3 cloves of garlic and mash them and mix with a good dollop of butter. Spread on toast and eat.

That'll clear your pipes and no mistake

misdee · 22/07/2008 07:49

i was taking you seriously til lthe garlic. even if that works, i have to go see specialist at st thomas's this afternoon, not sure people on the tube want me sweating out garlic.

I can sympathise. My face is killing me, I am coughing up and blowing out what can only be described as lemon and lime curd and I sound like I have a peg on my nose. And that garlic idea has made me feel sick.

Roll on the summer!

southeastastra · 22/07/2008 08:12

i use a neti pot, can sympathise as i have to prob have a sinus op too

misdee · 22/07/2008 08:33

well walked down there and was there within 10mins of doors opening, but asmanged to get an appointment for 9.10am, so came home for a hot shower minus the garlic on toast afterwards.

maidamess, i swear i cannot see how its possible for my nose/face to hold this much goo. i have gone through a box of tissues since yesterday afternoon.

wiash i could just take some sinutab stuff, that works well.

you probably need antibiotics and have sinusitis...you can have them while you're pregnant

Hassled · 22/07/2008 09:44

It does sound like an AB job - but they usually kick in fast. Lying on a bed/sofa and hanging your head over the edge helps release the pressure sometimes. Or steam inhalation with some Olbas Oil in the hot water - but don't do as I did and dip your nose in the water and go around looking like Rudolph!

misdee · 22/07/2008 10:35

have got AB's and lovely doc perscribed paracetamol as well. the pharmacy is havign a refit atm and doing perscriptions. so couldnt get any other things for inhalation purposes.
