After having baby get bad PMT, heavy periods and extreme lethargy

I have a 14 month baby and for the last 6 months have been getting really emotional before my period. Also I have noticed they are much heavier and I feel so exhausted. I have never felt so tired before, Will it always be like this - or will things settle down in time.

Many thanks
Claire Semple

Clairemary, am assuming this is your first posting since you have given your full name- no need to do that. Yes, mine were much heavier after births. Would you consider going on the pill for a few months to sort it out?

Do you feel tired all the time or just when you've got your period? It might be worth seeing your GP for some blood tests - bad periods and extreme tiredness were my first symptoms of Hypothyroidism (lack of natural thyroxine = haywire hormone levels = (for me) 3 month period and feeling truly bloody awful)

If you're not planning on having another baby soon, then a mirena coil worked wonders for me - no periods, no pmt and much calmer

Good point Dior - very likely - you should go to doctors and have blood test - or just take some pregnacare kind of tablets.
