It HURT!

My toes curled, my knuckles were white, I almost crushed my glasses.

I apologised for being such a wimp.

And when I rinsed, the sink was full of blood!

So I asked when she said to book another appointment in 6 months if I would end up with teeth like Simon Cowells if I kept up with the appointments. She asked me if I really wanted teeth like his. I think it would be nice to be able to walk up my garden path at night without the aid of a torch and reduce my carbon footprint.

Anyway, it cost me £41 - my teeth do look whiter than before.

it stops bleeding the more you go i love those little brushes too they clean much better than floss.

olivo · 18/07/2008 19:40

oh my god - I am well overdue a visit and you are NOT inspiring me! my teeth are very sensitive and I know it is receeding gums. is there anything you can take before hand to mae it less painful? I DO floss and electric brush and my gums don't bleed but i just know it'll be painful!

use Corsydol if you think you may have gum disease? when mine were getting bad (pre-Tepe use!) she told me to dip the Tepe in the toothpaste version and do six back and forwards between each tooth

olivo · 18/07/2008 19:45

I will go and get some tepe brushes tomorrow - can i get them from Boots? Am i right that they come in different colours/sizes?
I do use corsodyl even though it seems to burn the lining of my mouth! Not all the tme though, will try it every day.

pointydog · 18/07/2008 19:54

oh hygienists, what a rip off. They teach you how to floss. They all repeatedly teach you how to floss. Humans have become so incapable.

dinny · 18/07/2008 20:07

Olivo - yeah, different colours - I have to use two for various gaps!

pointydog · 18/07/2008 20:14

If something burned the lining of my mouth, I'd stop taking it

olivo · 18/07/2008 20:28

I did, pointy; but it is reputed to be the best for dodgy gums. I sometimes wonder if i used it for long enough it'd settle down; i usually give up after a few days!
