Tonsillitus can you catch it?

my 1year old has it and my throat now feels sore too, can you catch it?

yup - try and head it off though by drinking loads of water, gargling with TCP (bleughhh but sometimes works) gargling with salty water - pray to the gods you dont - i will pray for you too

yes, there is a viral and a bacterial strain.

you could gargle with a bit of tea tree if you have any ? just don't swallow

viral you would have inflammation

bacterial you would have the white spots and pus

or so i was told by hosp when ds had it when he was 6 mths

I didn't know it was contagious! I get it a couple of times a year.

Ice cream and ice lollies are the way forward.

and if you are really lucky you will have inflammation and white spots!

Gargle with soluble aspirin or paracetamol, and drink plenty of water etc.
