whats up with my baby? (mildly worried mummy moment)

my son is 9 months old. For the past couple of days he has had a cough and his chest is a bit rattely. Occasionally he is wheezing when he breathes.
We have just had a night of screaming and yesterday he didn't eat anything bbut had plenty of bf.
This morning I noticed a white spot on the roof of his mouth which is red all round it.
the dr has no appointments untill tomorrow and I am a little bit worried.
anyone got any ideas what it might be?
his brother had chickenpox about a week ago.

I'd say it proabably is chicken pox. Keep an eye out for more spots and if you're worried about his chest ring up your gp and ask for an emergency appointment for a baby.

Probably chickenpox, but definitely go to the GP - if he's coughing then I'd want a GP to check him, as there can be possible complications with chickenpox like pneumonia (Which I'm sure it isn't, but it's a good reason to take extra care)

Could be chicken pox. Or hand foot and mouth which causes spots in the mouth.

I would take him to the GP.

The gp should not refuse you an appointment for a baby.
