ds2 will be 1yo on friday - was on verge of switching him to cows milk. BUT i think he's on his way down with chicken pox - if he's eating nothing is he better on formula than cows milk?

I don't think there's a lot of difference nutritionally, but I'd leave him on what he's used to if he's not feeling 100%, as he may be less hungry anyway.

thanks

i can only tempt him with dry breakfast cereal and grapes

i guess he's too young to be offered ice cream...?

I'd offer him ice cream, but then I'm a soft touch

Mercy · 15/07/2008 16:36

Don't make any changes if he is coming down with anything.

Why ice-cream?

Tutter · 15/07/2008 16:37

i was serving some up for ds1 and thought "i bet he(ds2)'d eat this"

I don't think there's any reason not to give icecream... though he may not like it!

AMumInScotland · 15/07/2008 16:40

But if he's not well, just give him whatever he normally likes and don't worry if he doesn't fancy much. Just so long as he's geting enough fluids.

Mercy · 15/07/2008 16:40

Iirc both of mine got a real shock the first time they tried it!

Tutter · 15/07/2008 16:41

he's had tastes before, but i was thinking it might not be the mildest on his tummy

anyway he just refused it

grapes, cheerios and milk it is
