Shingles in a baby

My 14 month old DS2 has shingles. He's being treated with antiviral medicine.

As far as I can work out from Googling shingles we're supposed to stay away from anyone who has NOT had chicken pox, pregnant people and children.

Does anyone have any experience of children with shingles? Am I going to be housebound for a week or so?

Help

my dd had shingles last year she was only 4, she was off nursery for 2 weeks as shingles wiped her out, she slept day and night and hardly ate anything for the first week, the anti viral drugs made her halluncinate and she still has scars on her back from the blistering.

Your right about the chicken pox, you cant catch shingles but you can catch chicken pox from shingles althou i think someone has to touch the contents of the blister to get chicken pox, not sure about pregnant people.

I hope he isnt suffering too much xx
