ears!

Ds had a very bad ear infection, he was at home for 5 days, Dr gave him antibiotics on day 4. Went back to school, all fine. Finishing the antibiotics today (day 10) and he has woken with a bad ear.

Has this happened to anyone, should I go back to Dr?

I'd take him back to the doctors. If he needs further antibiotics you should try and do it without leaving a gap between the courses.

aimsmum, no fluid, just back to pain in the original ear, he had an ear infection in both. He has just turned 9.

My two are so rarely ill, I'm unsure as to what to do next, is it a good thing to have another bout of antibiotics?

ow, your poor dd aimsmum, this mornings nurofen hasnt helped, have got an appt in an hour, so will see what Doc says. Thanks for your help.

One ear completely free, glands fine after last week, but yes one ear is very bad. So we have new antibiotics, more of a general one this time. Fingers crossed.
