ds is ten weeks old and has been diagnosed with type a influenza. ( we are in aus so height of flu season here). He is home with us basically because I am a nurse and they figure i will bring him in if he gets worse, he is taking forced small breast feeds, and is still getting wet nappies. His cough is getting worse and although i knew it would i am unsure how i will recognise that it ad developed into something more sinister, like pneumonia? also his nose snot has become very bubbly, almot like froth you get with a patient in advanced LVF? is this ok?

personally i would call gp and ask for advice/get him seen, since he is so small, rather than waiting for advice here, especially since you are concerned, with your nursing experience. What a worry for you

i would get him back to a GP/hospital straight away if he is getting worse
